Created and funded by the Free Magyar Foundation, this website is established for the sole purpose of serving the information and communication needs of the community of freedom-loving people with Hungarian roots, the "Free-Magyars", both in Hungary as well as the "diaspora" - those dispersed throughout the world, and naturally for all who share these ideals. It is intended to exploit the most effective internet resources to draw the community together via free forums for the expression and flow of ideas, posting news and events of interest, and building (electronic) bridges to communities and businesses in Hungary.
The ClevelandMagyar.org website is supported entirely by sponsors, advertisers, and donations to the Free Magyar Foundation, a not-for-profit 501-c-3 organization dedicated to the principles of freedom in the US Constitution, and inspired by the historic struggles for freedom by many giants of liberty, in Hungary, America, and elsewhere.
Free-Magyars have been blessed with an enlightened perspective based on their unique historic experience in the struggle to achieve basic liberties and human rights. This experience also carries with it a solemn obligation to teach, first their countrymen about the blessings of liberty and the dangers of creeping socialism, and second, to remind their American and Western fellow citizens that freedom is never "free", but must be continually guarded from emerging threats, foreign and domestic.
The mission of the Free Magyar Foundation is to facilitate and promote the free flow of ideas, relevant news, and information within the community, both at home and abroad, thereby encourage interaction and dialog on issues of current and historic interest. Further, it seeks to apply the lessons of history to inform about preservation of individual liberty and the challenges confronting humankind in this third millenium.

It is envisioned that forums and resources such as this website will help to facilitate dialog and shared values, leading to greater understanding between various segments within the community, and like-minded people, for the preservation of individual liberty - God's most precious gift to mankind.
