 Youth Programs

Through our Youth Programs, CHR50 aims to engage students from K-12  in visual and hands-on activities to commemorate, reflect upon, and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Freedom Fight.  Teachers and school administrators interested in having their students participate in our educational youth programs, may click here to read an open letter / invitation to the event. To view a schedule of activities broken down by age groups, click here.

The educational youth programs will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21st. The event will to be held at the Wolstein Center, Cleveland State’s Convocation building.  The Wolstein Center is located at 2000 Prospect Avenue in downtown Cleveland, between Carnegie and Prospect.  Parking is available for a fee around the building on all sides.

The Youth Session caters to three distinct school groups: K-5; 6-8; and 9-12.  Please see the links below for your area of interest.   Its contents are consistent with the Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Content Standards (ACS).
